What's Included in a Deep House Clean? A Room-by-Room Breakdown
A deep house clean goes far beyond what a regular weekly clean covers. Where a standard domestic clean maintains surfaces, a deep clean addresses the build-up that accumulates over weeks or months — inside appliances, behind fixtures, along grout lines, and in corners that rarely get touched.
Here's exactly what J&M covers in a full deep house clean, room by room.
Kitchen
- Oven interior — racks, trays, door glass, grill pan cleaned and degreased
- Hob and extractor fan — filters removed and degreased
- Inside all cupboards and drawers — wiped and dried
- Inside fridge and freezer (defrost before if needed)
- Inside dishwasher — filter, seals, spray arms
- Limescale removal from sink, taps and surrounding tiles
- All worktops, splashback and wall tiles degreased
- Microwave cleaned inside and out
- Floor vacuumed, mopped and dried

- Bath and shower tray — scum, limescale and discolouration removed

What's Not Included in a Standard Deep Clean?
A standard deep clean doesn't typically include:
- Carpet or upholstery extraction (available as a separate service)
- External window cleaning
- Garden or outdoor areas
- Specialist mould treatment (available separately)
- Laundry or ironing
If you need any of these, just mention it when requesting a quote and we'll let you know what's possible.

How Long Does a Deep Clean Take?
A rough guide for one cleaner:
- 1-bed flat: 3–4 hours
- 2-bed property: 4–6 hours
- 3-bed house: 5–7 hours
- 4-bed house: 7–9 hours
Two cleaners working simultaneously roughly halve these times — useful if you're working to a deadline.
